Last week, our Year 6 Distance Education students joined their Day School peers for the annual Winter Ball. This special event celebrated an important milestone: reaching the halfway point of their schooling journey.
Everyone arrived looking wonderful and taking great pride in their appearance. Students enjoyed dressing up, connecting with friends and sharing this memorable occasion. Distance Education students and their parents watched as the Day School students performed an impressive partner dance. Their coordination, confidence and commitment were evident throughout the performance.
Following the dancing, students farewelled their parents and enjoyed a delicious, well-catered sit-down dinner. The evening was filled with conversation, laughter and plenty of energetic ‘Just Dance’ fun.
The Winter Ball also provided an opportunity to reflect on how God has shaped and moulded each student throughout their journey so far. Every experience, challenge and achievement has helped them grow into the young people they are becoming. We believe God has a unique purpose for every student and that each one is part of the Groves Distance Education community for a reason.
Congratulations to our Year 6 students on reaching this significant milestone. We look forward to seeing how God continues to guide their steps throughout the remainder of their schooling journey.
