On Tuesday 18 August, a team of more than 60 Groves Primary students proudly represented our College at the CSSAQ Athletics Carnival. The event brought together athletes from 11 Christian schools across Southeast Queensland, providing our students with the opportunity to compete against some of the region’s best young athletes. After a wet start to the morning, the rain cleared and the sun came out to create a beautiful day for athletics. Throughout the carnival, our students competed with determination, resilience and enthusiasm across a wide range of track and field events. It was fantastic to see so many students supporting one another, celebrating each other’s successes and representing Groves with excellent sportsmanship.
Our team achieved some fantastic results throughout the day, including podium finishes across a number of different events. A particular highlight was our 11 Years relay teams, with the boys finishing in an impressive second place and the girls securing third place. These results, along with several other top-three finishes throughout the day, were a wonderful reflection of the effort and commitment shown by our students. We are incredibly proud of every student who represented Groves at CSSAQ Athletics. Competing at this level is a fantastic achievement, and we congratulate all our athletes on their performances and the way they represented our College throughout the day.
