This week, our school proudly participated in Bullying No Way Day, focusing on the important message that everyone has the right to feel safe, respected, and valued. Throughout the week, students engaged in a variety of learning experiences designed to promote kindness, inclusion, empathy, and positive relationships.
One of the highlights of the week was exploring a range of books that addressed bullying, friendship, and respect. Students across all year levels enjoyed reading and discussing stories that encouraged them to consider the feelings of others and the impact of their words and actions. These stories sparked thoughtful conversations about how we can support others, celebrate differences, and stand up for what is right.
Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of classroom and school-wide activities. These included:
- Creating kindness posters and murals
- Writing positive messages to classmates
- Role-playing the ‘Good Samaritan’
- Participating in class discussions about being an upstander rather than a bystander
Students reflected on what it means to be a good friend and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s day.
While Bullying No Way Day provides an opportunity to focus on these important messages, promoting kindness and respect is something we strive for every day. We are proud of our students for their enthusiasm, thoughtful participation, and commitment to creating a school culture where everyone feels safe, included, and valued.
Together, we can continue to make our school a place where kindness grows, friendships flourish, and every student belongs.
