After being awarded an OP1 upon the completion of his schooling, Danyon Ramsay was honoured as one of only 26 academic students within Queensland to be recognised as “Distinguished Academic Achievers” by the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority. He went on to secure a sizeable scholarship to contribute towards his tertiary studies. Danyon is presently studying software engineering at the University of Queensland with the ambition to one day work for Google.
Joshua Manning is a young athlete who has achieved great success despite a significant disablity. He began his schooling at Groves in 2010. In 2013 he was crowned Australian under 15 National Triathlon Champion. Recently he came 10th in his age group in the Hawaiian Marathon and there are expectations that Joshua will one day represent Australia in his chosen sport.
