Groves Distance Education
Australia is an amazing country where we are free to think and learn from a Christian perspective. We are blessed in our land to have authorities that provide purposeful funding towards our ability to school children through Christian distance education. Ensuring our academic standards and delivery of service is equal to this blessing is one we take seriously.
We seek to serve students and families by offering high quality programs and service. In providing a valued based, Christian distance education schooling option we aim to partner with families in the intellectual, spiritual, physical, social, ethical, aesthetic and emotional development of their children and young people. Our education is designed to help students discover the truth about God, themselves, people and the world. This equips and inspires our students to be better prepared to serve their families, communities, country and the wider world, to God’s glory and for the wellbeing of others. That is, Groves does not exist to hide children and young people from the world, rather to equip them well to transform the world as they respond to God’s calling on their lives.
We focus on helping our students work towards enhancing their personal best as they achieve authority acknowledged qualifications. Like Daniel from the Bible, we want our young people to be educated not only to understand the domains of knowledge but be able to redeem knowledge for God’s purposes to transform the world for good and God’s glory. One of key verses we consider regularly is John 10:10, where Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”. We seek to help our students to enjoy a rich life now and into eternity.
Inquisify is our program available for students in Prep to Year 12. It is delivered in the form of online learning experience meeting the Australian Curriculum requirements and is underpinned by a Christian Worldview. The Inquisify program in Years 10 – 12 caters for our senior school students in preparing them for and enabling them to undertake study towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (pathways include vocational, university entry OP or a combination of both).

Students With Additional Needs (SWAN Approach)
The college has a strong desire to see all students succeed in their personal best. The SWAN approach caters for students with additional learning needs which may require additional support or differentiation to assist them in their studies. This support is for students who either have or are seeking verification of their additional need. SWAN approach students may have the capacity to undertake the regular programs with additional support or may need to have tailored made programs based on needs.
