What is the
cadetship program?

A cadet is employed as a casual staff member up to two days a week at the College assisting teachers in the classroom while undertaking tertiary studies in teaching. Cadets receive real world teaching by being immersed in the college community, whilst receiving mentorship from experienced teachers and leaders. The cadetship model is an apprenticeship style of ‘on the job learning’, where cadets become part of our college community. It is based on the Clinical Teaching Model for training Christian teachers. Cadets experience micro-teaching, one-on-one coaching sessions, and enhanced opportunities for working with students, observation, and teaching practice. To understand the unpredictability of teaching, you can create your future and be empowered to graduate with a competitive advantage. The program is aimed at school leavers, young adults, and mature aged students who are or seek a vocation in Christian education after their degree.
