The College Libraries are vibrant, busy spaces filled with activities, stories, games, and displays designed to spark imagination and foster a lifelong love of reading. This year, we have already seen a remarkable improvement in home reading. We congratulate our students for their dedication and thank our families for their ongoing support.

Reading exposes students to new ideas, cultures, perspectives, and information. It helps students make sense of the world and deepens their understanding across all areas of learning. Strong reading habits expand vocabulary, improve spelling and grammar, enhance writing skills, and strengthen communication. These are essential skills for success both at school and beyond.

The Library staff are eagerly awaiting the completion of the Campus 2 Intermediate Library. We are preparing new resources for the upcoming space and planning several exciting events. Our Primary Library displays will launch Term 2 with a celebration of the National Simultaneous Storytime book Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller.

Promotion for the 2026 Write a Book in a Day competition will begin soon. Last year, six teams participated, and we are hopeful that this year will bring the same level of enthusiasm. We are thrilled to share that the 2026 Book Week theme, “Symphony of Stories,” will be celebrated across the College in Term 3, uniting our community in a vibrant celebration of creativity, imagination, and the joy of reading.
