Book Fair Reflection
The Community Fair was a thrilling experience for the Library team as we dressed up and shared our collaborative efforts with the community. The Time Machine was a great attraction, drawing a steady stream of visitors who were transported into a digital rewind of the past 25 years at Groves. For those with a close connection to our College, it was an emotional journey to reflect on our growth and remember the many staff and students who have been an important part to our College life. A heartfelt thank you to the AV team for their brilliant production. We also celebrated our Character Quest winners, who were delighted with their $20 Koorong vouchers. It was fantastic to see so many families participating in the quest to find our hidden characters. A special thanks to our Library Crew students for creating such engaging characters and devising clever hiding spots. Their enthusiasm made the quest enjoyable for everyone involved.Thank you to everyone for your support of our Book Fair. We are eagerly anticipating the upcoming Primary Book Fairs during Book Week.Next week, the library will celebrate Science Week with activities planned by Miss Li. Additionally, our Secondary event on Thursday, “Write a Book in a Day,” will see 40 students form four teams to participate in this creative writing competition. Run by the Kids’ Cancer Project, this event challenges students to plan, write, and illustrate a book based on unique parameters, with the completed books being shared digitally with children in hospitals across Australia. We look forward to another exciting week at our College, where we celebrate and nurture our students’ skills and talents.Laurie Reynders
