With stunning costumes, breathtaking sets, and a talented cast bringing characters to life, this is an experience you won’t want to miss. Come and be part of the magic as Dorothy, Toto, and their friends journey down the Yellow Brick Road in search of courage, heart, home and…a brain!

Campus 2 will be bursting with poppies, munchkins and flying monkeys in Week 1 of Term 3. From the 10th to the 14th July, iconic characters will be gracing the stage of the GPAC. Since last year, we have been planning and preparing our ‘Groves’ interpretation of this beautiful story. Rich in meaning and message, our students have given themselves to preparing a gift for our community.

The Wizard of Oz points to our need for community and a Saviour. Dorothy and her friends needed to band together in love to encourage and help each other out of many trials. Overcoming many obstacles they finally arrive to the Wizard. Looking to him to give them the heart, courage, brain, and home they longed for, the band of friends discovered he wasn’t able to give them what they sought. Their quest showed them that they already had what they were looking for.

Like Dorothy and her friends, we are also faced with trials and fears. What we can take away from their story is the encouragement to have the courage to ask ourselves and one another curious questions. What path are we on? Is it leading to salvation only found in Jesus (John 14:6)? Are we driven by fear to the point that we don’t see the opportunities God has placed before us? Are we driven by the greatest commandments given to us by Jesus in Matthew 22:37-39? The colourful and vibrant characters of the Wizard of Oz are not only fun, but thought-provoking. We pray that you will have rich conversations after watching our production.

Tickets can be purchased from our Wizard of Oz Website

Looking forward to seeing you follow the yellow brick road into the GPAC!
