On Wednesday, May 10, 19 students in year 8 were selected to compete in the ACER Global Academic Challenge for science. In the 50 minute time frame, students evaluated and designed scientific enquiry, explained phenomena scientifically and interpreted data and evidence scientifically.
They have done their best to apply science skills in unfamiliar contexts and now anticipate the release of their personalised printed report and certificate of achievement in June once all international results are collected.
Currently, in comparison with submitted global results, 2 of our students are achieving in the top 10% internationally.
