On Friday 22nd of March, 2024 – the Deputy Premier of Queensland, The Honourable Cameron Dick MP visited our Year 10-12 Legal Studies students. Students learnt about the Minister’s early life and education, his former and current role as the Deputy Premier and Treasurer. As the Deputy Premier shared, students asked insightful questions about the current state of world affairs, leadership and government.
During the student-led Q&A session, the Deputy Premier discussed the importance of a representative democracy, active citizenship and what it takes to sustain a passion for law and politics. We would like to thank the Deputy Premier, Cameron Dick and his staff for making the time to visit our Legal Studies students at Groves Christian College.
