Thank you to our Distance Education families for partnering with us this year. As we wrap up the school year, it is a good time to start reflecting on your student’s progress. One aspect of reflection is reviewing the goals we set at the start of the year with our students. You will often hear teachers refer to SMART goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-based. These goals can be an important factor in driving and motivating students to work towards set outcomes in their learning journeys throughout the year.

This week, you are encouraged to set aside time to sit with your student and look at whether or not they have achieved any short-term or long-term goals. This can also be a good talking point regarding commitment and perseverance and can lead to further discussions around future goals.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1
