All the Preps enjoyed their excursion to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary on Monday, October 12. Every class had a discovery session with a ranger who taught us how to look for clues to see what animals are about in our backyard and local area. We met a shingle back lizard and ‘Footloose’ the rainbow Lorikeet, who showed us how she eats and flies. Then we all had an opportunity to pat a koala. Each student was also given food to hand feed to kangaroos and emus. There were so many Australian animals to see and learn about. This knowledge will be incorporated into our Science unit this term. A very big thank you to our bus drivers and parents who helped us on this day.
