Integrity in the Journey

Even in this unusual year, our College community is enjoying all the busyness and celebration that usually marks Term 4 in our Year levels, Phases and Schools. Awards season has begun for our Seniors and their examinations are well underway. Typical Term 4 sporting and academic events are happening across the Schools and all the cycles of competition and study are beginning to reach their culminations. It is an exciting time for students, staff and families to share in our College community.

Integrity is one of the College Vision elements that is especially prominent in this season. Being diligent, faithful, pursuing personal best and displaying spirit of excellence are phrases that are often repeated in our celebrations and reflections at this time. These expressions encourage integrity and character in our students throughout the peaks they share at this time. John Maxwell once said, ‘Talent is a gift, but character is a choice’, and while we will see celebrations of talent in Term 4, it is evidence of character that our community also seeks to nurture and praise in all our students.

As we share the successes and challenges of the coming weeks, we look forward to working with families in fostering integrity in our students. It has been a year unlike any other, but how we celebrate and encourage our students will still shape their character for their futures and set them up with integrity for the journey ahead.

Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.
