Our assembly occurred on Tuesday morning, with Intermediate Phase students receiving their weekly awards, ‘Encouragement’ and ‘Student of the Week’. Special mention to 5G for receiving the ‘Class of the Week’ award, for their excellent work during weekly subject rotations! The ‘Homework Hero’ award for diligence in completing tasks at home went to Tracy in 6M. Students received updates on upcoming events such as the Intermediate Phase Athletics Carnival on Thursday, September 17. Also on assembly this morning, was an excellent performance item from the Intermediate Phase Choir led by Mrs Nix. In Week 10, our weekly Chapel will resume on Monday, September 14 with students meeting their teachers at the MPC on campus 1.

Next Monday, September 14, we are looking forward to seeing all our Intermediate Phase parents for the Learning Journey event. Students have worked hard to collate their learning into individual portfolios and are excited to display their achievements to their parents that afternoon. This student-led event is a great opportunity for parents to be engaged in their child’s learning through the portfolio and interactive learning stations. If you have not yet registered your attendance, please do so by calling the office.

If you are available to assist at campus 2 we are currently looking for additional parent volunteers to help with issuing Home readers. For more information please email the college using groves@groves.qld.edu.au
