In Foundation, physical education provides students with wonderful opportunities to learn through movement while also learning about the value of a healthy and active lifestyle.
This term in Year 1 and 2, students have been applying fundamental movement skills in a variety of sports day activities. Students have shown enthusiasm in refining their technique and skill when throwing a frisbee and turbo javelin. They have also been using catchy phrases to help them remember movements when practising their throws and aiming for targets.
In Prep, students participated in a variety of core strengthening activities to develop their control and coordination of different movements. This week, students are continuing to develop their ball throwing skills using the overarm technique to see how far they can throw.
