It is an encouraging feeling to see our students fully immersed in their lessons where teaching and learning is running normally once again. Joy, one of the character traits we equip our students with, is evident during classroom engagement, Day School break times and lunch club interactions between peers and staff, and our weekly chapels. While we may find it challenging to at times sustain a joyful heart, holding on to God firmly means we stand on a trustworthy foundation which enables us to make it through different situations with a positive approach.
Additionally, it is often the people we surround ourselves with that can be a valuable support, and our aim is to continually help our students and our community in this area. With a heart of worship, gratitude and thankfulness to God for getting us through Semester 1, both students and staff members are excited about the opportunities which this semester will present.
Already, our usual Day School Phase assemblies and chapels have started this term and we have enjoyed celebrating the success of students and learning about some fundamental values in chapel such as ‘Respect’ and ‘Living a Christ-Centred Life’. Furthermore, we are very pleased that our sports events are ready to launch this semester, with our Secondary School leading the way with the Cross-Country this week and Primary School following on next week.
Upcoming events this month:
- Secondary Cross-Country: Thursday, July 30
- Year 10 Camp: Tuesday, August 4 to Friday, August 7
- Primary Cross-Country: Thursday, August 6
- Inter-school Sport for Primary Day School: Week 4
- Book Week: Week 7
