Finding Our Purpose

Our vision at Groves is to see young men and women with loving hearts and strong minds for God shine like stars as they pursue His purpose now and into eternity. Shining through values, virtues and character traits including: hope, knowledge, purpose, grace, integrity, truth, joy, wisdom and self-control.

As educators, we encourage and guide students to find their purpose. That is our calling, our vocation and our responsibility. It is important to start having conversations with children at a young age about their purpose.

We would like to encourage you to promote these discussions at home. Here are a few ways you can inspire the conversation, whether you are a parent, a mentor or a friend:

  1. Go to God in prayer: God wants to give you purpose. He wants to guide you to make wise decisions and desires for everyone to live a purpose driven life.
  2. Ask questions and listen: Talk about hobbies, friends, interests or school subjects they enjoy. Ask the big questions and really listen.
  3. Immerse yourselves in new experiences: The next time you are organising a family outing, try something different. When you get home, talk about what everyone liked most about the experience. By trying something new, kids have the opportunity to snap out of their routine and discover new ways to engage with the world.

I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me.  Psalm 57:2
