Can you believe that Semester 1 has come to an end? For our College community it certainly has been an interesting time for learning and also for our day to day routines. We thank you for your input, patience and partnership during this semester.

Although it is not completely clear yet what restrictions will be in place for schooling next term, we are planning for a full return to normal teaching and learning which will include; chapels, assemblies, camps and events. While I use the terminology ‘full return to normal’, there will be new formats and safety/hygiene measures in place. If you are planning to attend an assembly or chapel during Term 3, further information regarding event attendance will be available at the beginning of next term.

Students are encouraged to get outside during the holidays and enjoy their term break, as the last holiday break due to Covid-19 was very limiting. This will allow students time to unwind and relax, and be refreshed for another term of learning.

Looking ahead to Term 3

  • On Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14, Groves staff will be undertaking professional development (Student Free Days)
  • On Wednesday, July 15, School recommences for Term 3
  • Vacation care is available throughout the holiday period.

Finally, 2021 Prep and Year 7 enrolment applications are regularly arriving in the College Office. If you or a friend or family member have a child needing to enrol in Prep or Year 7 for 2021, I encourage you to please submit your application forms.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1Thessalonians 5:18

Thank you for partnering with us in the education of your children.

God bless,

Vanessa Osborne
