Whilst it has been a shorter week with the Labour Day public holiday occurring Monday, all of the students and teaching staff have been busy with teaching and learning occurring both here on campus and at home. It has been great to see students enthusiastically engaging online in one-to-one video calls with staff members as they complete reading tasks, math activities and just checking in with their classroom teachers. Students have also been busy preparing some gifts to share and bless their mothers this week for Mother’s day, so keep an eye out for those!

Despite not conducting our normal weekly gatherings, such as chapel and assembly, students are still able to receive their weekly awards. In order to include students’ learning from home, we have created and shared a brief video that acknowledges each student who has received an award. This video can be located on your child’s home class page on Learner.Link. The students working on campus have received their awards in hard copy format on Tuesday afternoon and those students who are currently working off campus will have received these via email from their classroom teachers.

We appreciate your ongoing support and value staying in communication with you and your family. Please advise us if your students learning mode needs to be changed or updated by emailing the college at groves@groves.qld.edu.au
