The Queensland Government has today made announcements regarding State schools next week. It is important to know that our college is committed to the ongoing support of our families and the development of our students.
Therefore, the college intends to remain open for all students from Monday to Wednesday next week. However, to further equip teachers for the mix of teaching methods required in Term 2, which will be a combination of face to face students at school, and remote delivery for students at home, the last two days of Term 1 are now student free days.
Therefore, these are the arrangements in place for our college community next week.
Monday 30/3/20: Open as normal
Tuesday 31/3/20: Open as normal
Wednesday 1/4/20: Open as normal
Thursday 2/4/20: Student free day
Friday 3/4/20: Student free day
This makes Wednesday 1st April 2020 our last school day for Term 1. School owned bus transport will also stop at this time. For those families having their students undertake their learning from home, please understand that our expectation is that students can stop their learning tasks after completing their work on Wednesday 1st April.
***Student free day arrangements
Please note, we will provide school-based care for children of working families who have no other alternative care for their children on Thursday and Friday of Week 10. This arrangement is not our OSHC vacation care program. Early next week we will communicate to families how to book your children into this alternative arrangement.
