The College recently participated in the annual South East Queensland Futsal tournament, sending an U19 girls team and an U15, U16 and U19 boys team on Thursday, March 12. Our girls team achieved outstanding success on the day by qualifying through to the knockout round, which is currently proposed to take place on Friday, June 5. We are particularly proud of the achievement due to the team being composed of a few Middle Phase students as well.

Our boys teams performed valiantly but narrowly missed out on finals, with our U16 team missing out by one point and our U19 team equaling points for second but getting knocked out due to a two-goal goal difference. The Futsal coaches were extremely proud of all of our participating students due to their behaviour out of school and conduct throughout the day.

Following on from this, we also had 16 students selected into the Queensland City Representative team for Futsal based on their individual performance. These students will participate in the State Championships later this year. Congratulations to these students for their individual success.

We hope to see the girls back on the court soon in Term 2, striving to achieve success for our College. Special thanks to Mr Chow, Mr Vele, Mr Hugman and Ms Williams for their coaching and dedication to our students.
