Chinese New Year is the most important celebration in the Chinese culture. It is often referred to as the spring festival because it signals the beginning of spring. It is a time when families and friends get together to say goodbye to the old and welcome the new year. Over the past 2 weeks, students have identified and participated in traditional decoration activities and Chinese character writing used during the Chinese New Year celebration. Students recognised the different culture and discussed the connections between language and cultural. It is such a joyful celebration and the students enjoyed the experience. God loves us and it is demonstrated in the Chinese Character, “福fú happiness and blessing” it is from (one) 口(mouth) in a 田 (garden) with (God). Genesis 2:15 “The Lord took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.”
