“How can I make a difference in my world today?” This was the theme for our project based learning activity in Year 6 for Term 4. To respond to that question the Year 6 students organised and ran their own stalls to raise money for the Bush Church Aid rural appeal which will assist rural Australian communities affected by drought. The day went superbly. The looks on the faces of the younger students as they went from stall to stall playing games, winning prizes and eating the beautiful food prepared by the Year 6 students was a sight to behold. Each stall was managed and run with enthusiasm and energy right through the morning. The students were genuinely excited to raise money and have students come to their stalls. Campus Two was transformed into a fair-like atmosphere and some remarked that it was the best Mini-Fete ever! Congratulations to all the staff, parents and students who made the event a wonderful success.
