On Friday of Week 4, for Chapel, Foundation Phase students continued their journey in understanding the life of Esther, a famous character from the Bible. They learned how God had great plans for her from the beginning. Esther was favoured by so many people, including King Xerxes and was crowned to be the queen who replaced Vashti. The King was so pleased with Esther that he declared a public holiday and distributed gifts among the people. The scripture verse for the week is from Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Students were reminded that God knew them before they were born and he already had a great plan for their life. He does not promise that our lives will be smooth and without hurdles, but he promises to be with us all the time. Just like Esther’s journey was not easy, but she relied on God whose plan prevailed.

On Monday of Week 5, for Assembly, students were awarded certificates for their achievements over the week. The ‘Class of the Week’ was presented to 2F for their ‘Marble Ramp’ project. Kodan from 1S received the ‘Servant Leader’ award for showing compassion towards his peers. The Mathletics trophy was given to 2B. Students were reminded about the first Award Day rehearsal in the MPC on Friday, Nov 8. Year 2 students were very excited to visit Campus 2 next Monday, Nov 11 to interact with the teachers and students and participate in some activities in order to make the transition to Year 3 smoother. Students from 1O concluded Assembly with Mrs O’Brien.
