TAFE Queensland are now offering Grade 11 and 12, 2020 students Certificate III in Community Dance , Theatre and Events (CUA30213).
This Southbank based Certificate III offers an introduction to the art and craft of acting and performance. The program delivers energetic, detailed and focused training in acting, body, and voice skills. Students also have the opportunity to explore the business of starting an acting and performance career in Australia. The course provides students with a sound base from which to develop their performance interests and further training. Students will study with industry experts in a distinctive and lively learning and training environment that culminates in a public performance project, and will be part of a thriving, unique educational and creative community. This qualification is designed to cover a broad range of knowledge and skills that apply to the Performing Arts industry.
The cost of the course is $3,250 and is delivered over 1 year. Upon completion, students can choose to study the Diploma of Screen & Media (Performance), then progress to the Bachelor of Acting Performance (with an audition) or Bachelor of Acting Drama and Production (no audition).
