Year 4 students enjoyed their day out at Sea World, with lots to see and do last week. They learnt how to follow time schedules and read maps. They attended the dolphin, seal and penguin presentations, where they learnt about the animals, as well as sustainable practices to protect our oceans and marine life. Various exhibits were explored including the amazing glowing jellyfish, the open pool where they could touch the rays, and the underwater shark pool. Students enjoyed free time activities including fun rides and climbing on the rope fortress. From Sea World they traveled to CYC Burleigh, where they enjoyed a night program and the next morning a walk along the nearby beach, collecting shells and then built sandcastles. It was a first for Groves, and a big success! Thanks again to all the parent volunteers that helped during the camp and helped make it a great experience! Thank you!
