On Monday, November 25, Intermediate students attended our weekly Chapel in the MPC. Continuing with our term approach of using a children’s movie to see values in action, our Year 3 teachers arrived in costume and shared a message that included the movie, ‘Finding Nemo.’ The key scripture that students were taught is from John 3:16, ‘For God loved the world so much that He gave His only son, so that anyone who believes in him will have eternal life.’

In our Week 8 Assembly, Intermediate Phase students were honoured for their effort and application to learning in the previous week with their ‘Encouragement’ and ‘Student of the Week’ certificates. The ‘Class of the Week’ award went to 4M for their excellent independent work and progress with reading. The ‘Homework Hero’ award went to Amethyst from 4G. Congratulations also to Amalia from 3R, Zachary from 4M, Victoria from 5B and Lauchlan from 6Y for winning the ‘Physical Education Student of the Week’ award. Congratulations to all students from our Dance group ‘Purple Reign’ for placing third in their recent competition! Students were also recognised for their progress and commitment to the Home Reading program with special commendation awards from Mrs Watson.

Just a reminder to families that Chapel will not be occurring as normal for Intermediate Phase students on Monday, but rather on Thursday morning December 5. This will be a full primary Christmas Chapel, with students dropping their bags off in the Foundation phase undercover area an then will meet their teachers at the MPC on Campus 1 for an 8:40am start. Parents and families are welcome to join us there! Also students are welcome to wear their sports uniform to school for Week 9.
