On Monday, November 4, Intermediate students attended our weekly Chapel in the MPC. Continuing with our term approach of using a children’s movie to see values in action, Mr Landbeck shared a message that included the movie The Lion King. The key scripture that students were taught is Luke 15:24 “For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.”

In our Week 5 Assembly, our students were honoured for their effort and application to learning in the previous week with their ‘Encouragement’ and ‘Student of the Week’ certificates. The ‘Class of the Week’ award went to 4D for their quick and precise listening and good behaviour whilst on Year 4 Camp. The ‘Homework Hero’ award went to Prayzes from 5J. Congratulations also to Abigail from 5B, K Star from 6Y and Lauren from 6M for winning the ‘Physical Education Student of the Week’ award.

Just a reminder to families that Chapel will be occurring for Intermediate Phase students as normal on Monday, November 11, at the MPC on Campus 1. Also on Monday 11, immediately after Chapel students will remain at the MPC for their second rehearsals for Awards Night, returning to Campus 2 at 10:30am.
Also occurring on Friday, November 8, will be the Swimming Carnival where students will begin their day on Campus 2 and be bused to the pool. Students will be available for pick up after the event concludes at the pool or we will follow normal afternoon pick up procedures.
