A spirit of celebration has been at the forefront of the College events over recent days. This has been highlighted through the Day School and Distance Education Awards nights, performances, Graduations and celebrative excursions. Throughout all these events we’ve had an opportunity to pause and appreciate the hard work from our students, their families and teachers. From Prep – Year 12 it takes a community of encouragement and support to see each child succeed and we look forward to continuing to develop relationships with each family as we approach 2020.
As we bid farewell to our year 12 students we welcomed a new season of leadership from the class of 2020 last week. We thank God for his goodness in helping our students reach their finish lines and the work he has done raising new leaders for a new season. The Prefects and Captains of 2020 for middle and senior phase are underway planning on how they are going to contribute across the entire College. We also welcomed the future Year 7 students to the Secondary school through our transition day and our Year 11 students have already started work for their exams early in 2020.
At Groves we value community and the involvement each parent, student and staff member put in to encourage life long learners. As we approach the final weeks of the schooling year our classes are preparing with skills and knowledge to help them transition into this next season. We encourage all families to continue to encourage their students to work hard, get involved and work hard as they prepare for their next stage of schooling.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
