Families of students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will be receiving the reports from the 2019 NAPLAN testing next week, Week 10 of Term 3. These reports, provided for all students in the testing year levels, give the outcomes of the testing that was completed in May.
While the results will be reflective of how students performed on these testing activities this year at that time, please be aware that the reports do not give a full picture of how your child is performing or engaging in their learning at school. The assessments focus on achievement against Reading, Writing, Language Conventions and Numeracy skills, and this year most tasks were completed online, with the exception of the Writing task for Year 3. The NAPLAN report can be good feedback for your child in their achievement, at that time on those tasks, but we also encourage families to speak with their class teachers or refer to usual school feedback to get fuller information on participation in broader learning and curriculum with Groves.
