It has been a memorable term in the life of Groves Christian College. The smooth transition of Year 3 to their new classrooms on Campus 2 was a substantial undertaking. It was also the final sitting of our last QCS test for our Year 12 students as the OP system finishes this year.

We had a range of huge events such as our fantastic community fair and the performance of our outstanding primary school musical. The term was full of many events, huge, big and small each taking planning and dedication from our community members. It takes a whole College community to:

  • Bring events such as the wonderful Father’s Day chapels into existence.
  • Enable our Day and DE students to experience life beyond the classroom by spending nights away at camps.
  • Encourage our students to be successful by helping them arrive at school every day with the right tools and the right attitude.

It is amazing how God is using Groves at this place and time. It is a special blessing to be involved in God’s work as what we do has eternal significance even if we do not see the immediate fruit of our work. I know so many of us share the following value from Matthew (6:19-21), “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

I pray that all of our families enjoy a safe holiday. We look forward to welcoming our students back for Term 4 on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.

God bless,
