Prep students were very excited to use our Groves buses and travel to North Ipswich to visit The Workshops Rail Museum. After taking a group photo and eating some morning tea, each class explored the different areas in the museum. There were simulations of driving a tilt train and diesel train. All students were taken on a tour to hear about the 130 year old buildings and discovered what it was like for people to work in that environment and build trains. There were lots of hands-on activities for Prep students to participate in and they experienced how objects move. Students had a fantastic day consolidating their knowledge and understanding of this term’s Science lessons by exploring The Workshops Rail Museum. A big thank you to all our wonderful parent volunteers who helped us make this excursion a memorable one.
