Students from Year 6 marked the halfway point in their Primary and Secondary School journeys this week, with the annual Winter Ball. The ball is a special occasion for students and families alike, as they celebrate the progress and community they have shared in their Primary school years and look ahead to the opportunities of the next season in secondary school.
To begin the evening the students demonstrated their Dance curriculum and etiquette learning through a formal, partner dance in front of family and friends. After parents departed, our Head of College, Allan Weir, shared an encouraging devotional with the students and prayed for their futures. The students and staff enjoyed a formal dining experience, catered by our talented hospitality secondary school students. Victoria Williamson, our cheerleading and dance club coach, engaged the students in a more fun dancing session, building their confidence for a final dance when the parents returned.
We were really impressed by the presentation and participation of the students who were able to make it, and thank their families for taking time also to share this special occasion.
