Rules and Laws are an important part of our life. But who makes the rules and laws of our land? The Year 6 classes will be heading to Parliament House in Brisbane to find these answers and many more as part of their study of Civics and Citizenship. Each class has been allocated a different day to attend the excursion. This is to maximise the learning during the fascinating tour of this historical building in our city. 6M, 6B and 6L are all going in Week 5 of Term 2 and 6Y is going in Week 6. The dates of the excursions are as follows :

6M – Monday, May 20 – 8:30 am (Meet at Campus 1 at the MPC)
6B – Wednesday, May 22 – 8:45 am (Meet at Campus 2 by 8:30 )
6L – Thursday, May 23 – 8:30 am (Meet at Campus 2 by 8:15)
6Y – Monday, May 27 – 8:30 am (Meet at Campus 1 at the MPC)

We look forward to all students attending. When the students return to Campus 2 the normal class routine of the day will proceed. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn what it is like to see democracy in action and find out what goes on in Parliament House.
