So how do you build resilience with Year 6 students? By taking them on a camp where they are faced with many challenges from working as a team, learning to paddle a canoe together, coping with lack of sleep, and organising all their gear every day. The Year 6 students faced daily challenges and succeeded. Many overcame obstacles that they never thought were possible. It was a busy three days away filled with fun and a variety of experiences from night games and trivia competitions through to tubing on Tallebudgera Creek, a favourite with all. We were blessed with great weather as Cyclone Oma stayed away and never really affect any of our activities. All staff and students returned safely to school, tired, but grateful for a wonderful experience at an amazing camp site. Thank you to the teachers and instructors who cared for the students while we were away. Everyone pitched in to make it a team effort. Congratulations Year 6.
