He taught for ten years in Singapore, running Music and Arts programmes for students in the Gifted Education Program, and has coached various music groups, created music arrangements and prepared students for performances at events. Chris Williams has been working at Groves for just over a year now. Starting this year he has had the privilege of giving guitar lessons at Groves. Chris hopes to be able to pass on what he has learnt from his 16 years of playing on worship teams, both in terms of musical ability and theory, and in terms of the heart behind worship music. As the leader of the guitar team at his church, Chris is responsible for resourcing and equipping guitarists as they build up their talents and put them into God’s service. Nothing gives him more joy and hope for the future than seeing young people step up to serve and take on responsibilities at church. Music is a big part of everyone’s lives, but especially in the life of a Christian. We edify ourselves, encourage each other, and extol God through singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
