Three Groves teams traveled to Fairfield Touch fields to compete in the first of two days of Christian Sporting Schools Association Queensland’s Touch Football Gala days.

Junior Boys (Year 7 and 8) took a strong team away who had some great performances and made it all the way into the final of their division. They were met with stiff opponents and went down in the final narrowly to Mueller College.

Junior Girls (Year 7 and 8) were the team of the day. Despite only playing with 6 players all day and no subs, the girls went through undefeated but went down in a drop off in the final to Mueller College.

Intermediate Girls (Year 9 and 10) showed excellent gameplay throughout the day and great teamwork to make it all the way into the semi finals, losing in a drop off to Mueller College in a tight game which finished 0-0 before the drop off stage.

All students are congratulated for their sporting passion and how they represented the College on the day. Special thanks goes to Mrs Jones and Ms Rasmussen for their hard work and dedication to our students.

Next Friday sees the Senior Girls (Year 11 and 12) and Senior Boys (Year 11 and 12) travel to compete. Lets hope for another excellent day of Touch Football!
