The Year 6 Camp to CYC Burleigh Heads is just around the corner and the students are very excited. The camp focus is developing leadership and building resilience amongst the children. Most of the activities occur in and around the waterways of beautiful Tallebudgera Creek. Experienced staff will lead all the activities and there are always highly qualified instructors for every activity. There will be a staff member assigned to each class group this year so that they can work with the students and really get to know them. There is also a night program so that the fun continues after dark.

It is important that all the information regarding the camp has been received and all relevant forms have been completed and returned. If there are any questions regarding any of the communication sent out recently please speak to your child’s class teacher to clarify.

We will be departing from Intermediate Campus at 9am on Monday, February 25. The Year 6 students will not be attending Chapel that day. They need to be dropped off at Campus 2 with all the gear that they need and any medication required for the camp. We will return on Wednesday, February 27 at 2:30pm. Please make certain that your child’s classroom teacher is well aware of any medical conditions or other concerns that you may have so that we may take care of them while they are away. Finally we hope and pray that your child will have a very positive experience during their time away on camp and return with wonderful stories and memories.
