Students in the Primary and Secondary Schools will be participating in the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence on Friday, March 15, 2019 through activities that link to the topic “Bullying. No Way! Take action every day”. A national initiative that is relevant to every school-aged child, all students from Prep to Year 12 will share some age-appropriate learning on the topics of healthy friendships, kindness, respect, bullying signs and speaking up.
This teaching will take place throughout Week 7, with reminders about how students at Groves are able to seek help with conflicts, concerns or patterns of bullying. Primary students will also have some teaching at assemblies around their emotional and personal safety. Families are also able to view some of the supporting curriculum or access the parent resources for the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence at https://bullyingnoway.gov.au/.
If you have any questions about the learning or wish to seek support with this topic, please speak to your home class teachers.
