It’s been an exciting start to the year for On Stage, our Middle Phase Performance Art Club, who travelled to the Queensland Museum last Friday.
Our students are preparing for ANZAC day by immersing themselves in the newly opened Legacy gallery exhibit; taking note of the stories of key individual’s experiences. Through their observations of the interactive displays and key artefacts, the students are forming scripts and movement sequences to express the stories of World War 1. These ideas will be accompanied by the song The Armed Man…a mass for Peace that they have been practising this term.
The staff at the Queensland Museum were impressed by the insightful questions and engagement of our students. We are all excited to see how our creative arts students share what they have learnt with the school at the ANZAC day service.
