It is only Week 3, however I am sure many families are feeling that this year is already at full pace. I sincerely hope that you are enjoying the commencement of the 2019 school year and that by now your child has settled back into, or begun for the first time, strong routines of learning at Groves Christian College.
Christian Learning Community
As Head of Primary at Groves, I have the immense pleasure of meeting many families who are starting their school journeys with their precious children entering Prep. I also frequently meet families who are seeking to join our College at other points in their school experience, because of word of mouth or personal preferences have given them reason to look at Christian schooling options. When families come with a referral from existing Groves families, it is so encouraging to hear the positive accounts they have responded to and discuss how our community might support their family. We have been blessed to add two classes and welcome the families of another five Prep classes in the Primary School alone this year, which brings many new families into our school. Settling the children into their learning is a major priority for all the staff in a new year, however it has also been deeply fulfilling to see parents enjoying opportunities to form friendships and connections, supporting each other as members of our school community. This was particularly evident at the Prep “Tea and Tears” morning on Day 1 and throughout the school since as parents meet and connect socially, or enjoy our café with the new morning and afternoon opening hours.Cafe information
