It was encouraging to have many of our Groves DE families join us at workshops this past week. We were blessed to have guest speaker, John MacKay present a biblical perspective on the formation of races and cultures. Students were also able to celebrate the unique qualities and influences from a variety of cultural backgrounds including, language, customs, music, dance and cuisine.

Logan Regional Swimming Trials

We were delighted to have one of our Year 7 students, Kalani Boaza compete at the Logan Regional Swimming Trials this past Monday. Kalani received age champion and will now go onto the next division. Well done and good luck with this next stage.

Big Day Out

Community is an important part of Distance Education here at Groves DE, and although many of our families are separated by distance, students have many opportunities to participate in events throughout the term. This Friday, 22 February, many DE families will join us at the Groves DE Big Day Out at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. We look forward to enjoying a day of fun and education together.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
