The Secondary Swimming Carnival is on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, and will be held at the Bethania Aquatic Centre. Students will travel by Groves’ bus from Campus 1 at 8:20 am and return to Campus 1 by 2:50 pm. While qualifying times will be considered to attend higher representative levels, this carnival is also a community event where students can enjoy a range of novelty events embedded within the program.
The Swimming Carnival is a school day and participation is mandatory. All students are required to participate in a mild novelty house swim at the start of the day. If students do not participate they will be transported back to school via bus to partake in alternate school work under the supervision of a teacher.
Students are asked to come to school dressed in their swimmers (underneath clothing) before boarding the bus. This will minimise changing at the venue.
If you do not give your child permission to swim, they are sick or unfit to participate in any event’s, please contact the office or provide information to the student help desk.
