Message from the Chaplain

Welcome back to all families, old friends and new families.

This is my 13th year as Groves Chaplain and my 20th year in chaplaincy; I am looking forward to seeing what God has in store for each of us. I encourage you to continue to press in to Him, even when times may seem tough.

My role within the College is to be available for students of all ages (from Prep to Year 12) to come and talk. I am also here to help families navigate their way through the schooling years, and to offer my help as needed.

Through the good times and the difficult times I am here for the students. Over the years I have helped students in all manner of situations including, mending uniforms, (I am not the best sewer, but I can give it a try), being a listening ear, helping students to find friends and supporting students to deal with conflict in a restorative manner. My role is to help where I can or direct you to the person best suited for your needs. I encourage you to read our processes and policies on topics such as bullying on our website to gain a better understanding of how we support student welfare.

I look forward to working with you this year. I pray 2019 will be awesome, you will be blessed beyond your expectations and through all this, our loving Father will be glorified.

I look forward to catching up. You can contact me via email on jeff.sorensen@groves.qld.edu.au or phone the College office.
