Week 4 Touchdown Reflection

On Friday, November 2, students learnt about Christmas mugs from Germany and created their own Christmas mug using ceramic pens. These mugs can be baked in the oven at 190 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes and then they can be washed and are meant to be dishwasher safe.

Our next Touchdown is on this week (Friday, November 9) and students will be making Christmas decorations.

Our last Touchdown for the year will be in week 7 (Friday, November 23) which will be our breakup celebration. We ask that each student bring a plate of food to share, but please ensure that there are no nuts due to allergies.

Touchdown is a program that is run for Groves Distance Education students who have additional needs from Prep – Year 12. It is run on Friday mornings (usually on a fortnightly basis) from 9:30am – 11:30am at Campus 2, located at 12 Velorum Drive, Kingston. There is no registration needed if you are attending, you simply come to Campus 2 on the day and sign in at the hall.

Please ensure that your student wears closed in shoes and brings a water bottle, a hat and a small, healthy snack for morning tea.
