Year 6 STEM Challenge

During Science, year 6 students used the Engineering Design Process to build a structurally safe building to withstand an earthquake. They worked in collaborative teams, using only 20 toothpicks, 10 marshmallows and 1 tissue to construct their building. Each group was assigned a project task card. These task cards gave every student a job to keep them engaged. This activity has deepened their knowledge on earthquakes and was a fun culminating activity.
