Groves Distance Education is excited to announce this terms Prep to Year 9 excursion to Maleny on Wednesday, 19 September. We have a fun day planned beginning at Mary Cairncross Reserve at 10am. Here students will have the opportunity to learn about native Australian fauna and flora species to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We will conclude the day with a guided tour of Maleny Dairies at 2:30pm. Students will get an up close experience of a dairy farm, learning how milk makes its way from the cow to their fridge.
Due to the nature of the excursion, parents and guardians will be required to transport their student between each venue throughout the day. Student admission to all venues will be covered by Groves Christian College, however, there will be an admission fee for non-Groves family members.
There are limited places available. To ensure you have a place, please take the time to register below.
You will need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, warm clothing and comfortable closed in shoes as we will be doing some walking.
