Head of College – 2018, Term 2, Week 9

Last night members of our leadership team along with parent representatives joined other local school community members at a function hosted by the Hon. Cameron Dick MP at Parliament House. Cameron is the State Member for Woodridge and Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning. We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Queensland Government to help us provide our students with quality learning opportunities, including providing funding for distance education. Cameron’s personal passion to see all students succeed is evident in his words and actions. In his parliamentary speech last night, he highlighted again that the best investment a community can make is in the education of its children.

I thank Glen and Michelle Williams for attending the evening as our parent representatives.

In our large College community, the sad reality is that someone or some family is facing difficult times. In our broken world because of sin it is easy to become discouraged at these times. It is my prayer that rather than discouragement, we seek God, as Psalm 27:14 (our June calendar verse) reminds us:

Wait on the Lord. Be courageous, and he will strengthen your heart. Wait on the Lord!

God bless,
