Year 3 and 4: Term 3 Vacancies for Groves’ Inaugural Strings Program

The Strings Program started in Feb 2018 with 21 students. In this program, students are loaned violins from the school and have the opportunity to learn the violin for one hour a week in a group setting.

The students are having fun every week, and are now able to play tunes like ‘Mary had a little lamb’ and ‘Old MacDonald had a farm’ together. They are scheduled to have a short presentation of their learning during Groves Community Fair 2018.

Since then, the program has had overwhelming response for sign-ups, with another 21 students in the waiting list. As such, Groves will be opening another three classes for Year 3, and one class for Year 4 at the beginning of Term 3. There are still limited vacancies available in these new classes, and interested family members may refer to the attached letter and sign-up form.
