Applied daily, we learn more about what it means to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul; and develop our ability to love our neighbours as ourselves as we put our values into action, such as:

  • An ability to trust others and a hopeful resiliency to deal with the reality of life.
  • Compassion and justice towards others especially those who are marginalised.
  • Transformation that comes through discipline from within that helps us to overcome and achieve success so that we can bless others with our gifts and abilities.
  • Integrity, inner peace, and strength of character to serve others with grace and truth.
  • Operating with a spirit of excellence to reflect Gospel values in all that we undertake.
  • Noble motives and patterns of thought that upholds what is good, right and true.

Ultimately, when we realise the reality of God’s Grace through the saving works of Jesus for ourselves, we mature in our desire to respond to His love by loving others, not in our own strength alone, but through the power of God’s spirit transforming, renewing and refreshing us daily to shine like STARS as we are:

  • Secure in the salvation and inner peace of being reconciled with God that only the loving works of Jesus makes possible.
  • Transformed by God’s Spirit through a lifelong process of character refinement.
  • Always learning and growing.
  • Rejoicing and praising God as His children as we grow in love for Him and others.
  • Shaped for a life of significance as we achieve God’s purpose for our life through the service of others.

(Philippians 2:12-18 and Ephesians 2:8-9)
